Our Ministries
Small Groups -
Southland Vineyard Church is a church of small groups, all wanting to seek God and advance His Kingdom. We have many small groups because we believe it is not only biblical but this is the best place to develop relationships and to participate and be equipped for life and ministry.
Our small groups range from: Home Groups, Prayer Groups, Women's Groups, Men's Groups, Prayer Breakfasts, Alpha, Youth and other special purpose groups.
Southland Vineyard Church is growing bigger and smaller all the time through small groups.

Southland Compassion -
Emergency Food relief
If you live in the Mitcham or Marion Council areas, and are unable to buy enough adequate food for your family because your finances are overstretched due to a crisis in your life - then you are the sort of person we help.
What do we mean by a financial crisis? People on low incomes can find that they are unable to cope financially with unexpected large expenses (particularly medical bills, car accidents or repairs, rental bonds, etc).
Others experience financial crisis because they are single parents, leave abusive homes, lose their job, become seriously ill or disabled, or face a housing upheaval.
Some families are trying to cope with members who have alcohol, drug or gambling addictions that drain the family finances.
We aim to help low-income families who need a leg-up over the hurdle of short-term financial emergencies.
What do we provide?
Southland Compassion maintains a stock of tinned, packaged and frozen groceries; plus milk and bread.
Families are eligible for a quantity of supermarket bags of groceries per fortnight. You can choose your own selection, depending on your family's needs and tastes. There are no vouchers or pre-packaged food parcels. We also have free clothing available.
We have friendly and helpful staff who can talk and pray with you and help you find various connections to help you make a start in re-building your life. We have a strong support network including our local church, Southland Vineyard Church and other support agencies.
When are we open?
From 11am to 2pm on Thursdays.
How can I register?
On your first visit we need current I.D., and a Centrelink or Health Care Card.
One of our volunteers will interview you about your emergency situation to determine your eligibility, then put your name and details on our register.
A $2 fee is payable at this first visit only, after that your visits are free.
Current I.D. that shows your full name and address is required at each visit IF you are: a low-income family, living in the Marion or Mitcham council areas, and facing a short-term financial crisis.
